WWE: Wrestlemania 34 Highlights and Results.

WWE’s grandest show of the year which went down in New Orleans on Sunday, April 8.

With no path to compete at WrestleMania 34, Cena at a Monday Night Raw in March challenged The Undertaker who had been out of action since retiring in WrestleMania 33 of April 2017 after a shocking defeat to WWE Superstar, Roman Reigns.

On Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, The Undertaker accepted the challenge and made a dramatic return in an unadvertised fight. When it was announced that The Undertaker was in the building, Cena who was in the ring was ready for a fight, beckoning for the Undertaker to join him in the ring.

A ref came went to the ring to whisper something to Cena’s ear before the light went out as Elias stepped out with his acoustic guitar. The light went out again and Taker was out and then the fight started. The Undertaker didn’t look like he took a year off, he was sharp and strong and it didn’t take long before he Tombstoned Cena.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns

Lesnar retained the WWE Universal Championship which he won at last year’s WrestleMania 33 by defeating Roman Reigns. They traded blows early on in the fight but Lesnar went ahead to dominate in the long fight. Roman recovered to put up a fight but was kneed right in the face. Lesnar was on top at this point but Reigns wasn’t ready to give up yet. Lesnar went all in at this point and eventually got the win.

High profile names were in action as Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle took on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Triple H and Kurt Angle started this fight but McMahon could not wait till she got to the ring before she attacked Ronda who was making her debut. Ronda and Stephanie finally tagged in and the former MMA fighter pinned her opponent down.

Triple H, however, stepped in to pull the ref off to break up the count and then rip out Rousey out of the ring. Angle returned to face H again back but somehow got Stephanie into an Ankle Lock. Ronda and Stephanie somehow got isolated in the middle of the ring, the former MMA fighter got her opponent in a lock and it seems she broke her arm before Steph tapped out.

Undefeated Empress, Asuka came up against The Queen, Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. It was a fast start for the fights as Asuka kept attacking from every angle. Charlotte punched Asuka in the face and seems to have recovered well in the fight.

Asuka, however, all of a sudden choked Charlotte. Charlotte escapes the choke and went at Asuka. The fight went more violent. Charlotte locked Asuka in and the undefeated fighter tapped out to end her winning streak. Charlotte was declared winner.

Braun Strowman and Nicholas

In other highlights of the night Braun Strowman randomly picked a kid, Nicholas from the crowd as his partner to the bewilderment of his opponents, Sheamus and Cesaro. Strowman literally fought alone and tried all he could to stop Sheamus and Cesaro from double teaming him.The kid Nicholas tagged in and tagged right back out before Strowman gets the pin to become RAW Tag Team Champion. The kid Nicholas also go a belt.

AJ Styles pinned Nakamura to retain the WWE Championship while Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship.

For the United States Championship, Jinder Mahal won a four-man fight with Bobby Roode, Rusev and Randy Orton.
