Controversy as fans think Tekno's deal with Sony seems devilish.

Tekno Miles
When the news broke that fast rising Nigerian star Tekno was going to sign a record deal with international record label Sony Music, many rejoiced with him. But there are others who want Tekno to be very careful about joining the international entertainment company.
Tekno signing his agreement with Sony Music. His manager Ubi Franklin, and show promoter Paul Okoye look on.
Their grouse comes from the fact that Sony Music has been labeled devilish by many musicians in the past. One of such musicians is the late legendary musician Michael Jackson who after his business deal with the label went bad came out to criticize Sony and its leadership on live TV.

The kind of deal Tekno signed has also come under the microscope. The deal is not worth the $4million being touted. Instead, what Tekno signed is a ‘3 single’ deal. This means Tekno will release 3 songs and Sony/Columbia records will help in its distribution and promotion. If the singles do not make much of an impact, the deal ends amicably, But if it does, then it can be extended.

All the same, congratulations to Tekno and here's hoping everything works out for him.
